Getting too few images?

HyperImage can be fine-tuned to download all the images that you want, and none that you don't. If HyperImage is not downloading all the images that you expect, you can adjust your download preferences. The Activity Viewer shows which images were skipped, so you can tell exactly why certain images were not downloaded.
If you are getting too many images, you can adjust your download preferences to download fewer images.
The image preferences contain many options for limiting which images are downloaded. To download the most images, turn off the features that you don't need by unchecking them.
- Make sure that you have chosen to download images. If you uncheck this box, no images will be downloaded!
- If you have chosen to only download images in the same folder, try choosing to download images on the same server or in the same domain. To download images from servers in any domain, uncheck this feature.
- If you have chosen to exclude certain file names, try excluding fewer names. If you have chosen to only include certain file names, try including part of the filename for the images you were expecting. To download images with any name, uncheck this feature.
- If you have chosen to exclude certain file extensions, try excluding fewer extensions. If you have chosen to only include certain file extensions, try adding jpg, png, and gif to the list. To download images with any extension, uncheck this feature.
- If you have chosen to only download images larger than a certain file size, decrease the size to 50 kilobytes or less. If you have chosen to only download images smaller than a certain file size, increase the size. To download images of any file size, uncheck this feature.
- If you have chosen to only download images larger than a certain image size, decrease the size to 100 pixels or less. If you have chosen to only download images smaller than a certain image size, increase the size. To download images of any image size, uncheck this feature.
To find all the images on a site, HyperImage follows links to other pages. The link preferences contain many options for limiting which links are followed. To follow the most links, turn off the features that you don't need by unchecking them.
- Make sure that you have chosen to follow links. If you uncheck this box, HyperImage will only download images from the page at the starting address.
- If you have chosen to only follow links to pages in the same folder, try choosing to follow links on the same server or in the same domain. To follow links to servers in any domain, uncheck this feature. Since this may cause HyperImage to try to download the entire web, you should set the maximum number of links to follow.
- If you have chosen to exclude certain file names, try excluding fewer names. If you have chosen to only include certain file names, try including part of the filename for the pages you were expecting. To download images from pages with any name, uncheck this feature.
- If you have chosen to exclude certain file extensions, try excluding fewer extensions. If you have chosen to only include certain file extensions, try adding html, htm, and php to the list. To download images from pages with any name, uncheck this feature.
- If you have chosen to set the maximum number of links to follow, increase the limit to at least 10 to follow more links.
