TCP/IP port number

You can control which TCP/IP port iConquer uses for making network connections. This may be necessary for compatibiliy with certain routers and firewalls.

Choose Preferences from the iConquer application menu, then click the Network tab.

If you select "Default," the game will use port 2998. You should leave this option selected unless you are having difficulty playing over this port.

If you select "Custom," you can enter a different TCP/IP port. This setting will take effect the next time the game server is started.

If you select a custom port, other players will have to specify the port when connecting to your server. For example, if your server is running on port 1234, they should enter the address as "my.iconquer.server.com:1234".
