iConquer is a game of world conquest, played by 2 to 6 players. The object of the game is to conquer the world by occupying all countries on the map.

You can play iConquer against computer players, friends at the same computer, or friends on other computers connected by a network. You can pick from many different kinds of computer player personalities.

At the beginning of the game, players pick their countries. Countries can be manually selected or assigned randomly. Players alternate, picking one country at a time. After all countries on the map have been selected, players distribute armies among their countries.

Players then take turns placing armies, attacking, and fortifying:

• Players earn armies at the beginning of each turn. The more countries a player has, the more armies they earn. Players earn bonus armies for owning whole continents, and for turning in sets of cards. These armies are then placed on countries that the player owns.
• Players can attack adjacent countries owned by other players. The program decides battles by rolling dice behind the scenes. If a player defeats all the armies in an enemy country, they conquer that country and it becomes theirs.
• Once you are done attacking countries, you can fortify your positions by moving armies between adjacent friendly countries.

After each turn in which you have conquered at least one country, you will collect a card. The game has 42 regular cards, one for each country, plus two wild cards. The cards have three suits. Once you have three cards with the same suit, or one card of each suit, you can turn them in to receive additional armies.

A player with no countries left is eliminated. The game ends when one player has occupied all countries on the map and eliminated all the other players.
